And why does the bloody thing go straight to,post although I haven't finished. Anyway, I tried all the usual over the counter treatments but at times still had problems swallowing water. Also tried all the strategies about small and frequent meals etc. My onc had prescribed a dexamethasone mouthwash (no effect), then a 1%cocaine mouthwash (finding a compounding chemist in Ballarat was another story) but that gave me a numb tongue and a splitting headache. I lost 3kg in the last 2 weeks so when a local pharmacist recommended a product that had just come back on the market, why not. I don't know if we're allowed to recommend product brands but here goes. Gelclair is a gelatinous mouthwash, tasteless and non stinging. And it works for me. I start the day with one rinse as that enables me to swallow my pills and have a couple more during the day. The only downside is that it costs nearly $80.00 for 21 sachets or 7 days treatment, so it's not affordable for everybody. Hope this helps somebody out there. Cheers, Jeannie
