Pain from Past = Positive Present

4 weeks since my LB masectomy. When I was waking from surgery my son Thomas was present holding my hand. His 19yr anniversary is November 6th. He only lived for 8 mths, in pain and not of his choice. Now I know where my strength comes from. I have a choice to live a happy and full life, twin sister Nikola is a wonderful comfort and very supportive, as is my 16yr old son Ben. Funny how things you dealt with years ago, re-surface again. Starting chemo for me will be scary, but I think of what pain Thomas had to endure and I can do it....
