I am sorry to hear about your BRACA1 diagnosis and the crappy decisions that you need to make. The removal of your ovaaries closes a chapter of your life that you may not have been ready to close off just yet.
My doctors recommended i have my ovaries and tubes removed last year and for me it was a no brainer, I was completely menopausal and had no emotional attachment to my ovaries, but I understand that was me and I am older and have moved into another stage of my life.
After my chemo my husband gave me a beautiful diamond dress ring, 3/4 a carat of diamonds set in circles to symbals endless love. It was a beautiful gesture and I love the ring, after I finished my radiation I asked so where is my diamond this time! LOL.
