Ovaries removal - your experience
Hi I am in my early 40th and due to have my ovaries removed soon. I would like to hear from members who had their ovaries removed - what kind of impact it made? any mood changes, bone density...
@Primek, I have been to see the genetic counceller at the Austin hospital and my chance of my cancer being genetic was 7% and they don't advise testing under 10% but at that stage I wanted a double mastectomy and ovaries removed and they said that's the maximum they would advise if I was positive for the gene anyway. Whether I have the gene or not, there are other genes we don't yet know the function of, and the fact is I have developed this at 42, so something in me caused it.
