@socoda very good advice re the shower! Wow 8 weeks was long with you. Both you and @Brenda5 did your own thing - very impressive! I think I'm being spoiled here. But Socoda you sound like you had lots to do socially. Sadly I couldnt accept an invite to coffee next Tuesday as I don't know when I will be out of hospital plus will have the drain and shouldn't drive. My friend is coming up from Albany so that would have been nice (it's almost as south as you can go in WA). Brenda I am going to keep in mind what you said about removing it slowly. Even if the nurse thinks I'm a 'know all' I don't care! Thank you, I really am benefiting from you experience, good and, unfortunately, bad. @melclarity really sound advice...I don't know if you're old enough to remember the Ally McBeal series...the theme song was something like "I've been down this road before.." Pity it wasn't a u-turn! I was thinking about my less eloquent comments to @LMK74 and wondering if counselling might give a different perspective on how to think about the situation as well as facts from the oncologist? We have a free counselling service with the hospital for cancer patients and I think through BCA as well? Sometimes they can reframe things for you. I see a psych as have depression and she was pretty handy just to talk to. xx
