Hiya all, after chemo and radio my hair is growing back, eyelashes too, back at work and full of beans..then my genetist rings me and advises me to have my ovaries removed...Ok off to the doc to arra...

Hi, Congratulations on reaching your new status. It's a milestone to reach the end of chemo & radio. My last BC was in 2005, which after chemo I had a few months rest from treatment, then had a double bilateral mastectomy & ovary removal in the one session. I had problems following the mastectomy with infection etc, that I can barely remember how the ovary removal felt. I was a bit sore for the first few days, very bloated till the gas subsided etc, but each & every day, things were better & easier. If you have had any other stomach or any keyhole procedures, then ovary removal is certainly no worse to cope with. Having my gall bladder out was much worse. Hoping this helps you. :) Cheers. x
