Arrrh yes. The sore fingernails. I remember them being sore during Docetaxel. As well as my hands feeling burnt and the skin peeling. Fortunately I didn't lose my fingernails but they had really bad ridges across them, one for each of the cycles. But I lost all my toenails one by one, first they lifted off the nail beds and then they peeled away. The last two have just gone now, six months after I finished chemo. However, only the first two to go were painful, they went in the month following chemo so I guess the others were sufficiently grown out before they went too and already had a new nail growing underneath.
I rubbed vitamin E cream in my hands constantly during Docetaxel and used nail hardener too. I really didn't think about my toenails until it was too late. Oh well.
