Hi Ladies,
I'm 2 years post hormone sensitive breast cancer. I have had mastectomy, nodes removed, chemotherapy, radiation and Tamoxifen.
I am now booked in to have my ovaries removed as a preventative to recurrence. Has any one done this, and if yes have they had a hysterectomy at the same time. What are your thoughts and experiences?

I had a Ooparectomy the same year as my surgeries and treatment. I did ask about a full hysterectomy and was told that they did not like doing surgery when there was no need and that I have a healthy uterus.
To be honesdt I am on Tamoxifin and still feel I would have been more comfortable if they had done the lot.
The surgery went well, there were absolutely no issues and my recovery went well too.
When my path came back it showed cysts in my tubes and ovaries that could have possibly turned nasty.
