Onto Round 2
Tomorrow is round 2 of my FEC treatment. I hope it is as good as this one has been. I had 7 days of feeling ordinary, with day 3 being the worst. I have had ongoing fatigue and muscle and bone pai...
Hi Amanda, I was wondering how your treatment was going. As the subject heading says "Good on you". We are all ruled by our minds and if we use the mind as it should be we can "fly". My daughter has told me to see the chemo treatment as "it is as it is" and take it that way. I will tell you the story of my first chemo (2nd one is 27th April). I have kept a diary and it is good to look back on for reference. My first 2 days were horrible. The chemo messed with my head both physically and mentally which I found really hard. I try to not be emotionally teary in my life and come across very much in control. Anyway I got over those days and by day 5 started to feel a bit "normal". Day 7 I felt terrible and really sick so when I woke up on day 8 I said "I am going to feel great today and have a wonderful day" Well I did however when I took my temp at lunchtime it was over the top. I was really peeved off as I was having a good day. I ended up in hospital for the next 6 days and nights - in isolation until my bloods came back to
normal". But the moral of the story is "power of positive thinking" and it really works. I am having a lovely easter - sick free and hair free. Take care and keep blogging. It is good to see how we are all "getting through"XLeonie
