One year on, it must be great to be able to say that. Best wishes for you tomorrow. In a few weeks it will be 12mths since my diagnosis. I too have a mammogram booked in for June. So fingers crossed.

Do you really have to pay for your mammos and scans?  Here in Queensland - even at the private centre - once a cancer diagnosis then you don't pay for any scans, x-rays etc.  We also have lots of private places that bulk bill as well. XLeonie

It is really scary going for mammos and scans but heh we have to do it. I think we are the lucky ones at least it will be early detection!!!!! Anyway you know all that.  I wish you good wishes for Thursday.  I will remember as it is my beautiful little grandson's first birthday.  I am so sad that I can't be with him but he will have lots more birthdays as we will. I've had my first anniversary in the past few days too.  It feels sort of like turning a corner and that I can speak about breast cancer and treatment more and more in the past tense, and look more to the future.  Good luck with the mammogram.  I'm having my first one post-diagnosis in mid-June too.  Not sure how I feel about it because past mammograms did not pick up either of my cancers.  I'm not sure that a clear mammogram this time will give me reassurance.
