One week down five to go

Well started my radiation this week. Went smoothly enough. Using moo goo three times a day hoping that preserves my skin as best it can. Only complaint so far is sore back and shoulder blades from holding arms above my head, would love a good massage. Have cording running down my abdomen so needing to keep an eye on that. Looking forward to weekend off. Keep positive all you lovely ladies. I don't post often but I read all you girls write and are ever so grateful for your posts.

  • Hi Kerr Kerr, glad things are going well for you, I'm into my 12 rads session tomorrow, skin seems ok just been using sorbolene twice a day and I use an aloe Vera spray as soon as I come out from rads, also have some cording in my armpit which my daughter is working on and seems to be getting a little better so all in all things are good, I often think what would happen if we sneezed or coughed while lying there haha they would have to come back in and reposition us all over again, nursing staff are lovely ladies, terrific to have the weekend off, positive thoughts are wonderful things, take care Glynnis ????????????

  • Before you know it, it will be 6 weeks down - my radiation went so fast - not sure where the last few months have gone.  Keep up the moo goo and keep posting - love to hear hos you are going.  Big hugs  RosG

  • Hi Emma

thanks for your reply. Good to hear someone who is going thru same as me same time. Don't know about you but I constantly feel a twinge here and there in my breast or nipple not sure if it's in my head or really happening.

  • Hi Ker Ker!

I am two weeks down out of five and I have been using Moo Goo as well and so far so good.  The hardest part so far is just lying still in such an uncomfortable position.  Just keep doing lots of little excercises for your arm too if you can, I have found that this is helping as my arm was starting to feel a bit tight.  Yay weekend off! Good luck for the next five weeks. Emma Xx
