One of those days!

Hi all,

Gearing up for my third round of A/C, have been battling a cough and head cold for the last week, yuk! Swollen glands, hopefully from the cold and nothing siniister. But the little beast in my head still seems to rear it's ugly head, makes me wonder how I will ive with this cloud over me for the rest of my life. People tell me it does get easier but I am yet to feel that as I am at the begining of my journey.

I just read your post and know exactly where you are coming from.... like Julie I've must finished FEC and am now waiting for 9 weeks of Taxol to begin... however, the last FEC has been the worst..and like you I have a bit of a cold.. and  headaches for the last few days.. every ache and pain has you wondering and checking your temperature.. I guess it's important that we try and stay positive, one day at a time, and focus on what's important. Mind you saying that and living it is hard.  Like Jo said above... I'm so looking forward to being 'normal' where a cold or a headache is nothing...

    take care

  • Hi Jo,

I TOTALLY get where your head is at, as I feel the same way.  I wonder when it will ever be 'normal' to just have a cold, without worrying that something more serious is just waiting around the corner...  Is it the uncertainty that creates this feeling?

    Hope you're feeling better,

    Take care,

    Mon :)

  • HI Joey

Sending you warm big cuddles to you, an hope your horrible cough and cold disappears real quick.

I have just completed my 3 rounds of FEC and now into the nine weeks of  Paclitaxel. I think somewhere it does get better, but we do have our good and bad days....

I suppose I am also still at the beginning of this "journey" as they call it. I sometimes think it's a nightmare not journey. But we must stay positive.

Anyway, I think after the 12 months has gone, as others have said, it does get better. You and I must focus on getting better and there is an end to all this.

I do worry at times about the future, but I know it will be okay. "Focus grasshopper" as my kids tell me.... little soldiers they are.

Keep on smiling my honey. Love Julie XX
