Oncologist Perth

Hi Gals,

It has been some time since I posted. Life has somehow been busy. I have had a series of treatments at Paracelsus Clinic here in Switzerland. The Tara Centre in Mt Hawthorn is a partner. I have just had another blood test and am hoping the Circulating Tumour Cells (CTC) count is less.

I was in Perth recently and tried to get to see Dr. Chan at MT Hospital Breast Clinic to discuss the results from the CTC test. I could not get to see her without a referral from my Doctor. As my Doc in in Switzerland I could not get it organised.

Has anyone else seen this Oncologist? Is she good? Worth pursuing? Are there other good Oncologists in Perth. I am planning to spend more time in Perth and would like to find some good, accesible medical practioners who can partner with me.

I am heading back to Perth at Christmas and hope to meet some of you.

 PS I recently developed pain on the side where I had the lump removed, a bit like a cracked rib....no other symptoms. Strange as it is 10 months since the surgery - happens after playing golf. Hurts to sneeze, breathe deeply....anyone else ever had this?

    Prof Chan has been my onc since diagnosed in Feb '13 and I'm happy with her knowledge and care for my journey. Hope all goes well for you and like the others would like to catch up on your return. Unsure how this works through this contact? Maybe other 'Perthies' can guide me there! Sue

    Hi Helena, I am new to Perth, so all my treatment was in Sydney, so have no recommendations for here. However, I would love to meet up with you once you are back in Perth. We have a nice group of women in this group and we have social functions. Good luck with everything. Love Chris xx
