Why me? It's not in my family history, yet I've been told the pain under my arm is breast cancer stage 3 with triple negative hormones. Went quickly from being told to surgery a week later now in lim...
I had a port put in after my second chemo mostly as my veins were a bit crap to start with (small and good at hiding) and I'm one of those always cold people which does not help when the nurses were trying to put the cannula in. The port is only for chemo though so if you are not a fan of needles maybe the PICC line thingy would be better.
The only advice I would give you in terms of getting through chemo is to assume you'll get through it with no problems (well maybe a couple ??) as opposed to having every side effect listed. I really think having a positive outlook is a massive part of kicking cancers arse and I just went with the attitude of until I feel a bit crap/tired etc I'm going to keep doing what I do and deal with the bad stuff if it happens ??
Good luck with your treatments ??
