@smokie08 I had 3 surgeries - the final being a full right sided mastectomy with auxillary node removal. The day after the surgery the surgeon comes in and tells me that because the nodes were swollen the cancer has spread and I'm stage 4 and in the fight of my life - understandably my husband and I are devastated cause we think Im dying when I previously though I was only stage 2a. Sent for a CT scan and blubbering away. Long story short, CT scan and nodes all clear and I am stage 2a but put my hubby and I through the worst 48 hours of my life. Needless to say I now have a new surgeon and Im still thinking about putting in a complaint about him. My new surgeon was horrified that you would say that to someone without pathology results.
