  • So happy things are moving along quickly for you, I was public to & found the system worked really well for me & I had a top surgeon at RPH & I can't fault the system at all..I am very happy with all that they have done for me:) Robyn has covered it all... I just want to wish you well & good luck for the 26th.......Oh & one thing that may come in handy for you is breast care cushions.....when I had my surgery the breast care nurse gave me one, which was free & there made by the Zonta club...it has a yellow rose embroided on it & looks like a little hand bag lol..you just hook it over your shoulder & tuck the cushion under your breast it's so comfy...the yellow rose stands for friendship, new beginnings joy & freedom....it soon became my best friend :) so just ask for one I got mine from the breast clinic at royal Perth..not sure where you are from but I would imagine most clinics would have these... Take care Chris :) Christine:) xox
  • That's great it's happening! For starters, perhaps buy some front opening nightgowns or very loose singlets that you can take off by pulling down.I just had a single mastectomy, but it is difficult to lift your arms for a while. Also, put things at bench height that you use often, that way you can still do some things. Some comfy pillows to prop you up because you will have to sleep on your back and sitting up for a while.I am sure other ladies will have good ideas! Cheers xoxRobyn
  • There is a policy within the public system that if you have cancer you are Priority 1 so they must do your surgery within 30 days I think, something along those lines.

This is good, the ball is rolling and you are on the way to getting rid of this horrible thing called cancer.

    Take care
