Hi Simon..congratulations on taking the time and energy to write a few notes and share personal emotions with us all. This crappy cancer world takes way too much of our 'brain' time & enrgy!!! I was diagnosed with secondary cancer (primary in the breast) around 2 weeks post mastectomy and have to also get my (our) head around that treatment is forever (hopefully a long time yet) and it will change as my condition changes...I have a wonderful supportive husband who also feels he has learnt so much troughout this detour of life (sorry, can't call it a journey-isn't a journey a holiday????) and like yourselves have an amazing medical team - my superheroes!!!! which include an oncology specific pyschologist (she too has had to endure breast cancer-very recently)...
anyway, wont take up more of ur valuable time...was great to see some words from another perspective online for others to see ( my hubby is very understanding) ..
Keep up the great support for your wife and families, but remember too, this site is somewhere u can come to search for support which u may need at times too...we are all here to help one another :)
Sam
