How many times have I had to stop myself mid-sentence "A bit of cordial won't hurt the kids, I drank it a lot more when I was young and I turned out...." (insert vegemite, jam, etc)
I was 40 when I was diagnosed (with secondaries). Like you, I wonder if I could have done any different but I also think I had a pretty "normal" "healthy" life - didn't drink much, didn't smoke, not overweight, exercised...my Dr also tells me it's just "bad luck" which I guess I just have to accept for now.
