Not long enough
Day 19 - after round three
Well that went way too fast! Spent the weekend away at Sussex Inlet on the the South Coast. We've been going to the South Coast for years now and Sussex holds special memories. So peaceful and laid back..
I don't know if I'm relaxed or not! I know I'm tired, that's for sure!
Had a 3 hour nap when we got home...I guess it cleared the cobwebs out of my head as I'm not angry anymore....
You know how sometimes you leave things behind after a trip? Well Sussex Inlet now has my eyelashes! Yep! They are 98% goooooone! A few are determined to hang on! It's creating problems with my eyes. They are dry, itchy but gooey all at the same time despite putting drops in regularly. My eyebrows are hanging in there...but they are very sparse......I wonder how long it takes for eyelashes to grow back? You look really strange without them!
The cording in my arm is also back :/ I will have to jump up and down about the physio too...Hopefully I get in soon.
I've got a big week this week...blood test in the morning and I start my new medication regime in preparation for the new part of chemo. Then I'll go of to work...lots to catch up on there!
I have to take steroids the day before, on the day and the day after chemo this time....and I have to self inject something called Nuelasia the day after chemo. this drug helps to boost my white cell count and helps reduce the risk of infection. I think I'll be able to manage it O.o
Tuesday is D day! Even though I have had the pre chemo education and read all the literature, I am nervous about this new drug Docetaxel, but I guess once I get the first dose over with that may subside......hopefully it all goes smoothly!
I think I will sleep well tonight....
Hope you all had a good weekend and here's to a great week!

Thanks!! Let's see how I go.
FEC was a nightmare for me....but the D part seems to be OK so far...but i've only had one and I have my Neulasta injection today so that may change too!
Thanks Gurneys!
To tie the bandanna....lay the bandanna on your head with a pointed end over your forehead and one down the back...take the two side ends and tie them over the back section...making sure the back point is under the tied part...then I rolled the front point up and laid it flat over the front of my head, then secured the ends with bobby pins so it didn't stick out......the best thing is you can slip this off your head as is and you don't need to retie every time, just some small adjustments to tighten it up..
Hope this helps! it took me a few time to get it, but I'm sure you will...otherwise you tube bandanna tying, there's bound to be a style to suit!

Good luck with the new chemo drug. I'll be waiting in anticipation as to how you go as I've been following the same course as you. 3 rounds FEC followed by 3 rounds T(or D). Just finished the FEC.
I have been having Neulasta after each FEC already so know how that knocks you about. For me it felt similar to flu symptoms with all the muscle and bone aches but Panadol took the edge off.
I need a bandana tying lesson from you - really liked the way you had it tied in one of your photos. Just can't seem to master it!

Goodluck with new regime. I'm for taxol weekly after round 4 AC is completed. Slightly different from your regime.

Yes...sad about the eyeliner. Even without an infection I reckon much trickier without lashes. Hope it improces soon. Enjoy the NATO eyeliner. Apparently they called it eyebrow tatoo initially.

Glad to hear you had a lovely rest and time away. Good luck for you new round of treatment. Hugs, J
Oh my, too funny! (you gotta laugh don't you?)
The steroids kept me awake last night, I fell asleep at 1;30am...they also give me the shakes.....I have my new chemo this morning, so hope that goes without a hassle.
I have been warned about the bone pain and have some painkillers already waiting in preparation, hopefully I don't need them...i don't do well on them..
Thanks for the tips! Hope you are well
xx
Hi Primek!
Yes I have an array of eye makeup, including eyebrow pallettes and stencils. I'm a Rockabilly chick, I dress fifties and wear the makeup to suit! I really miss doing my hair!
My eyes are really sensitive at the moment too so I can;t even put eyeliner on :(
Natio has some beautiful products I have a few of their lippies....Might try the eyebrow marker.
Thanks, hope you are doing well Xx
:)
I'm hoping it'll be better than the FEC! Than you Brenda Xx
