Hi Hazel.
Yep that's the first sign. Sore and itchy scalp. Two days after this soreness happened, my hair started to come out in clumps so I decided to shave it off completely. I agree with Leonie. Once I shaved my head, the soreness did ease and even though I bawled my eyes out when my husband was shaving it, afterwoods I felt fine as it was something I still had control of and it wasn't the chemo that beat me.
