I am so sorry to read this. It sounds like you have had a really difficult time. Some women do have this sort of trouble taking arimidex, so you're certainly not alone.
I'm glad you have consulted with your GP and are waiting to hear from your oncologist. Some women are able to try switching to another type of aromatase inhibitor (a drug similar to arimidex), which has helped them. Your oncologist should be able to give you some options.
In the meantime, you may like to read our Hormone Therapy & Breast Cancer booklet. You might find some ideas in there useful as well.
You may also like to check out the Otis Foundation. The Foundation provides retreats for people with breast cancer at no charge. It may be something to look into?
