No further progression, boney mets

Welcome everyone to 2015!   Yeah!!!!  Good news from latest scans etc.......no further progression of boney mets nor invasion to soft tissue, so far. it's been a long 17 months, but I can see a light at the end of this tunnel.  Had another bout in hospital just after Xmas...neutropenia again...UTI this time!  Onc has reduced dose of Epibruicin by 20%, so hopefuly this will help with the diverticulitis and side effects etc.  Onc also advised that I will be having another 3 doses of EC with the usual follow up of scans etc.  I had my 1st dose last Friday...2 to go now, then what? Asked this question but, Onc was hesitant to answer.  We will just have to be patient I guess.

  • Thanks Chris, I thankfully had over 10 years before secondaries, so greatful to see my kids grow up, get married etc.  The future is a bit burred for me at the moment, but there is always hope!  So, at the moment I don't have any major plans just take one day at a time, but always looking forward to what possibilities lay ahead.  Sue:-)

  • Thanks Tanya, I have found this treatment so debilitating, hopefully will be able to get out of the house a bit more! Sue:-)

  • I was just reading your post...you have been through so much. It is such a long journey...full of ups and downs; anxiety and stress.; hope and expectations. As you said..'you can see a light at the end of the tunnel'. You are a strong lady and I wish you well. God Bless . Chris.x

  • Great to hear you have had a promising start to the year.

I am not familiar with your treatment protocol but it sounds like you have been  thru the long hauls. So glad that you are closing in on some better times ahead. Sounds like you deserve it.

    All the best.
