Night from hell woke feeling AMAZING

Hi ladies

I can't explain it but I am back to normal my night was full of swollen lymp nodes/glands in my throat, temps over 38, cold sweats, call to hospital at 3am.......woke up feeling the best I have felt for 10 days absolutely fantastic. Went to the doctor this morning on antibiotics so what ever is swirling around in there is hit but cant believe how well I feel.

So thankful & hope its the sign to come for the next week and half before I go thru this horrible process again.

  • Oh Donna I do feel for you those first 10 days after are terrible and I am just enjoying this week of feeling good so much to get me through the next one. I cannot imagine ladies breezing thru this but wow if they do they are very lucky !

The hair loss is my thing this week and boy its coming out so quickly day 14 on cue out it comes I had a haircut yesterday as it was all over the shop messy now its short its not so dramatic but think I will be nearly bald by the weekend.

All the best chat soon Di xx

  • I found that I had 3 days after chemo I felt fine, then 10 terrible days and then a few of ok before it started all over again.

I know we are all different and I was envious of those ladies that seemed to breeze through the process.

    Take care

    Donna

  • Hi Tanya

Just got home from my own camp out but it was in an apartment on Coolum Beach Sunshine Coast it was amazing and to be feeling well is such a bonus hadn't seen my partner for a month so it made it even more special as he couldn't see any change in me at all and really possibly cannot fathom what I had just been thru ! But he is so supportive.

I was very lucky he left yesterday and my hair started falling out with a vengence....I know thats a bit vain but thankful that he can leave (he works away)  and I look the same but hey what a shock it will be next time but I have a wig to reinvent myself to feel good ( I have prepared him tho)

Well looking forward to exercise this week to get my body ready for the next on slaught. And definitely will be focusing on the highs !!!

Take care love and hugs xx Di

  • Hi Disey. Good on You! On the 8th and 9th days I felt not too bad then the 10th - 14th day was the 'mac truck' experience but then I found that by the third week I was 'back to normal' and felt amazing.  So much so that my husband went way camping and we had the best time bike riding and lots of walking. I am on my 2 round of FEC and back to the first week of 'blah' but have hope that the 3 week is not far way! Keep up the positive thoughts. This journey is full of highs and lows and I chose to focus on the highs!!
