I live in the Snowy Mountains of NSW with my husband and 4 kids aged 5, 7, 9 and 11. We are just far enough away from Canberra to not be able to day trip. I had right mastectomy with reconstruction done on 7th august, and finished my 6th and final chemo (for now at least) on Xmas eve. Didn't make for a super active Xmas, but such a relief to be over. I am headed to Canberra for 5 weeks radiation in a couple of weeks and will have to stay there during the week. I will miss my youngest child starting school which I am really struggling with. Have decided to book a family holiday a week after radiation finishes and hopefully I won't be seriously nutty on Tamoxifen by then? My GP keeps telling me I should give it a month between radiation and holiday but I just can't fit that into our lives. Hoping it will all work out...not like my husband would let me drive a 6 person motor home anyway! I figure I'll just be resting. :) Lisa
