I'm almost 4 months on and still have many down days and many tears. I believe it's perfectly normal and we should be allowed to grieve about the changes to our body and be frightened of the future...how we will cope etc. Practical things like you are doing helped me initially. Once my hair began to fall the most empowering thing I did was to shave my hair. ...I took control and it was less stressful than brushing out handfuls of hair. Let your family support you. Let them know you are just sad and need a hug. Families are confused too and often don't know what to do...communication is key and will bring you closer. You are not an island. Accept their love and support. Kath x
