Hi to you, RoseRose
i have just had a mastectomy, reconstruction and also a reduction of the other breast am still in hospital. I am a type 2 diabetic, and am letting you know that your blood sugars will run all over the place during this time, but don't panic about it. I was reading about 7-8 before the diagnosis, but two day ago hit 17.1 and they weren't fazed. They just gave me some insulin. I am now reading anywhere between 10 and 13 and the nurses just say 'Good' and the doctors aren't worried. Just continue to eat sensibly when you feel .ike it and know that your body is just reacting to medication and stress. Don't do anything silly like reducing your food intake to bring it down. The best of luck to you.
