Hi Karen I am 41, first diagnosed 10 years ago at 31 , lumpectomy, chemo and radio....I celebrated 10 years BC free this year.....well for 2 weeks any way.....scan came back with shadow, core biopsy revealed 5mm lump that no one could feel tested positive for DCIS ! The bitch had come back ! My team and I agreed on a masectomy of left breast as it came back in same one ... Pathology has come back nothing else in breast only what they knew was there which means no chemo or radio again ...phew.... So we are around the same age :) I too lost friends although I don't think they truly are if they ran away ...chicken shits , not like u can catch BC lol , don't waist your precious time on them spend it on u and your gorgeous family, cry when u need to , scream when u want to, but most of all try to laugh every possible chance u can xxxxxx love and light to u sweet xxxx
