To Ange Great to hear that it wasn't breast cancer but keep a really good eye on any changes as it can be sneaky!
To Ev, Not sure why you aren't seeing an oncologist. I had a general surgeon for my surgery but was forwarded onto the oncologist for radiation treatment. I go and get an MRI in May for the oncologist and I see my surgeon when I have mammograms & ultrasounds in November so I see them 6 months apart so I see someone every 6 months. My surgeon & oncologist said that this will happen now forever :( I said awesome NOT. but I can see the value in that any changes will only have 6 months head start I suppose. Talk with your GP maybe he can look into this for you. They said I needed it because Pagets is so aggresive. Not sure why it is different with you... Do you have a breast care nurse you can go and see and talk to in your area? They are invaluable and can help with questions and counselling. They also look into things if they aren't able to help you straight away. They may be able to shed some light on it for you as well.
