Hi again, I also found that the surgeons made assumptions about what might be best for me in terms of my situation. I guess that they suggest what most people they see go for in their experience. This isn't necessarily going to be a good reason for you to go a particular way. So be sure to really ask them why they suggest a particular way to go. Also, something else to consider, radiation can affect reconstruction in the future. So if you change you mind down the track and have a mastectomy and want reconstruction, the options may be limited due to the damage to your skin.
