Hi there :) Go easy, I'm a first timer.
42 year old mum of 3.
Had a dream early October to have a mammogram.
Diagnosed bilateral multiple cancers (6 in total)19th Oct.
Bilateral mastectomy 17th Novemb...

WOW, you have been through a lot ! Chemo will add to the effects, so take it easy, and deal with things step by step/ day by day. Time passes.
Hit it hard, and cross fingers. Sounds like you are doing just that. It is a huge shock though, with loss and grief to deal with.
Remember to listen to your body, and rest when necessary. It can take some time to adjust to everything; physically and emotionally. I hope you have some supports to help you too.
I was 42 also when had first lumpectomy in 1998. ( 1/11 nodees ) Had chemo in 1998, followed by radiation to right side.
In 2003, had sentinel node biopsy, ( 0/ 1 ) then lumpectomy and radiation to left side.
I am now 55. It has not been easy in some areas, but I have also had many blessings and met new people too. You will be ok.
