Yes it's made me really mad as I now have to wait a long time to see the geneticist bc of the " Angelina Effect" but my onc is trying to push my case up the list. If I'd had it done 2 years ago I could have , like you said ,saved my husband, kids and family a world of worry .
Still, what's done is done and no point looking anywhere but forward ! My onc said if you're doing the oophorectomy you may as well get rid of everything so if I do end being BRCA ill be right behind you ..
I am a Disney addict , I love it ...what a fabulous thing to look forward to with your family after all your surgery .
I guess as far as the brows and lashes it will be a "wait and see " ..my buzz cut hair is falling out good and proper now but it really doesn't worry me as it will grow back ... Much better losing short 1 cm bits of hair than long strands which started happening Day 14 like you.
Every best wish for your surgeries and that wonderful trip at the end ....let us know how things are going for you . I honestly didn't find the double mastectomy bad at all but haven't had any recon yet... Just waiting to see how things go with everything else first. I had such a small bust anyway and a small frame that really no one can tell the difference !! But they did their job and breast fed my 3 boys a year each so I can't feel entirely cross that they turned against me !!
Wishing you every success and speedy recoveries from your surgeries . Xxx Karen
