New TNBC

Wow ... You really did have a year of highs and lows in 2013 !! Your poor son's girlfriend ....what a dreadful shock for her and her family. This Christmas must have been very difficult for her. But how lovely to have the thrill of grandchildren. That is my determination...to be a Granny ;but it looks like I'll be waiting awhile ! I found my lump myself ; had a normal mammogram and ultrasound 11 months ago...But I've had lots of cysts , FNA's and a benign tumour(excised ) in the past so I always checked myself every month. It was my decision to have a double mastectomy because I never ever want to do any of this again ! I'm having blood tests tomorrow and hoping my counts will be good enough for the chemo on Tuesday ... I'm dreading it but I just want to get on with it . Hope your feet swelling settles. Whe will you be finished your radiotherapy ? Every best wish for a much less volatile year :) Karen
