Hello

I found a lump on my breast and was misdiagnosed at the Epworth Breast Clinic with 3 fibroadenomas. After consistent pain under my armpit, I decided to get a 2nd opinion and after a biopsy of one lump, it appears I have BC. I have done the body CT scan and bone scan and all appears ok. I am scheduled for a mastectomy on 4 August. I am wondering if anyone else on this site has had 3 tumours and underarm pain. Is this a sign that the cancer has spread to the lymph nodes? Anyone else with multifocal tumours? I am also recovering from a serious flu. Thanking you all in advance

    Hi Claudinem, welcome to the network. I had underarm pain prior to my mastectomy and auxiliary clearance. Pathology showed a multi focal lobular tumour, a ductal tumour, and 5 out of the lymph nodes affected by cancer. My scans showed no sign of cancer anywhere else. I've just finished chemo, just about to undergo radiation, and will have aramitose inhibitors as oral medication for 5 years. I was glad to have the opportunity to have a plan in place, then we could get on with treatments. If you have the flu, you might need to get that sorted before having any treatment as you'll need to be fit as possible. Wishing you well with your upcoming treatments. Take care, Tracey B ??
