Hi Julia, how awful for you to have to wait again for some results. As you said, not all lumps are cancer, but I know how hard it is to believe it will be anything other than cancer when you have already been through it once. Like you, I had another lump discovered while having a routine mammogram and ultrasound when booking in for a second mastectomy. It felt like history repeating itself when the mammogram was clear, but an ultrasound showed something suspicious. The radiologist was far more concerned this time and wanted a core biopsy done. Last time they did a fine needle biopsy and weren't very concerned at all. I spent 2 days convinced I had breast cancer again, but this time I was in the 9 out of 10 whose lump was not cancerous.
