New diagnosis

i am 79 years of age and have just had a shock diagnosis and mastectomy.   One of the lymph nodes showed micrometastasis fully enclosed.  I am very afraid if I have to have chemo at my age.  I am healthy and fit, but falling apart at all this.    Any helpful advice?      Lynetteewart

    1 lymph node isn't an automatic for chemo. It all depends on pathology. They may suggest more lymph nodes to be taken to ensure no more..
    Depending on whether it was a breast node or armpit node which was positive on the sentinal node biopsy. 
    Your age will be considered with treatement plans. Some breast cancers are managed with just hormone suppressant therapy.
