I am so very sorry to hear about your diagnosis, I had a 5cm benign PT removed early in 2013, then clear margins taken in Dec 2013 while I was 12 weeks pregnant! even with a pregnancy, the surgeon did not hesitate to do the second surgery. My advice is to talk with your surgeon. With a malignant diagnosis, you may be looking at a higher chance of recurrence than with just a lumpectomy + margins. So little is known about PT, hopefully you can find some of the answers you need to make an informed decision. I am sending positive thoughts your way and wish you all the best with your treatment!
