Just been diagnosed with phyllodes tumour with a sarcoma in the middle malignant of course. Is there anyone else out there as I am told both are rare . Just my luck tossing up between lumpectomy and ...
Hi Jeanie,
I also are newly diagnosed with PT. I have already had a lumpectomy and have been diagnosed with borderline PT. My surgeon basically said even if was benign that my options were to have mastectomy with reconstruction of the one breast. I am happy to do this but do have some concerns for the remaining breast developing tumours as already have a small cyst ??? there. He assures me that it will be monitored so if developes in size it will come out. Three years ago it started as a cyst and was told okay and now I am where I are today. I have to wait till 7 May as surgeon away. Bad timing, but thats how it works. Its the waiting for appointments and operations and results that kill you!! Only you can decide but research so you can make an informed decision. Good Luck,
Lozza.
