Hi there, have a few mins in between blowing littlies noses. As you can c from my last post my lump was only scare tissue. Sorry if it sounded different. I should have closed mu iPad and wrote my comments later. Firstly can I say you sound so wonderfully informed,unlike myself who doesn't really know a lot of the name and abbreviations for the diff cancers. My cancer I think was dcis,it was mostly through all my milkducks but insitu . Unfortunately they didn't pick up on it for many yrs, dense breasts etc. so finally when I went to a major city and they had better equipment , they could see it all. Because it had been there for quite a while it had got out of my ducts ans had turned to an aggressive grade 3 tumor which had gone to two nodes and a separate growth else where.Anyway I had a mastectomy and they took some lymph nodes. If this is what they choose for u , I can tell u and I know everyone is different but for me the op , rads and chemo r definitely all doable . With the mastectomy I didn't even take a panadol after the op, I was really surprised. When I was at my rads stage a funny little lump came up and I was in a panic. They did a ultrasound and put a needle in it but thankfully all was ok .im now at the stage of deciding whether to have a mastectomy on the other side at the time of the recon. It has a lot of dense bumpy tissue in it that has a lot of dents in it. So even when they tell me it all fine, just the feel of it makes me nervous. I'm seeing my docs this coming wed to discuss all of this and to also ask about ovairy removal. I had a very strong hormones driven cancer but don't know how far u go!! I'm in my thirties but have had my family. Currently on tamoxifen which is fine, no real side effects. So I guess I'll see how wed goes and take it from there.
