New bruising

ive noticed weird bruising under my arm, I'm about 4 months post op from node surgery, it been fully healed for months apart from cording, now it's sore in my arm pit and bruising has popped up, I had cording which seems to have settled down nicely, I wonder if one if the cords has popped and bruising is from that? What else could it be? Eek!

  • Thanks Trace, I saw my gp this week, he's a bit confounded by it too! He's not sure it's bruising, per say, so we are trying two different creams a anti bacteria and an antifungal to rule out an infection under the skin, if it doesn't respond then thinking caps back on. I see my oncologist this coming Tuesday so will be showing him to. It's weird because it's not itchy or bothering me, but very tender to touch, no lymph node ( the remaining ones) seem swollen. That arm has a bit of lymphademia happening now too so something is going on! Just got to work the puzzle out ??

Hi Flutterby, bruising doesn't sound normal to me. I'd be taking the other ladies advice and go to your GP just to be sure. Sending you a big cuddle, Trace ??????

  • I had last chemo last week! ?? I haven't any other bruising, and where it is would be next to impossible to bump, it's in my armpit, I'll get gp to have a look, I don't see oncologist until the 1st dec, I'm thinking it's from where cording might have popped

  • Are you on chemo? One of the side effects can be easy bruising.

  • Hey there. From memory when i popped my cord it bruised but nothing major.

If you have significant bruising i would get it checked just in case.

    Take care
