Hi Caron,
I also was not looking forward to chemo January 2010. It was really daunting for us and we didn't feel like celebrating Christmas and New Year. It's been a year ago today since my first chemo. We felt much better when the first one was over as we knew what to maybe expect. We live on a property near Middlemount Central Qld, so my husband took the week of after my first chemo because he didn't know what I was going to be like and didn't want me to be alone.I also didn't want to go without a wig as our daughters wedding was in February last year, so was prepared with a wig before it fell out. I had radiation in Brisbane and finished that towards the end of June. I was able to stay with my daughter down there and get transport in. Hopefully this year will be a better one for us and I'm thankful for people on here, as we are the only ones that knows what the journey is like.
Take care
Kay
