Nervous and excited:)

Hi ladies, well, my doctor has cleared me for work and I'm nervous and excited at the same time. I will be doing 3 x 4hr shifts for 2 weeks and then hopefully back to my normal 30hrs a week. I am a bar/gaming attendant and I went in to see them and work out a schedule. I am fortunate in that they are happy for me to return on my terms, very rare in the hospitality business. There have been changes in the upper management positions, that's probably why I'm nervous as they don't know me and the way I work. Feel like I will have to prove myself all over again. I will just do my job which I believe I'm good at and take it from there. I am not wearing any head covering and I'm comfortable with my new look, but I'm sure I'll get some curious looks as the grey is quite startling. I reckon my partner will be giving 3 cheers when I leave on Monday morning:) He is on a disability pension and we have been together 24/7 going on 12 months now and lately I have been on cleaning and organising spree! Driving him craaazy. Luckily we are very close and get on extremely well or it could of been the end of our relationship. As some of you know he had health problems when I was going through chemo and frankly it was the most stressful time of our lives. But we have made it and for that I'm grateful. So, Monday is the big day that I attempt to grab some of my life back and move further forward, all the best to everybody, take care,

Hazel xx

That's really excited after gone through all these for a year time, and now pick up little by little.  It's good to start in this way and no forcing yourself too much.

I am a travel agent too, I felt tired when back to office, especially forcing myself to be smart look and alert and respond when with customers.   Besides, I felt tired on my vision with the computer screen.  I believed all will well later.

Cheer up Ms Pink, you'll be alg....

  • It's great to hear you doing so well and taking that next step towards getting your life back. I hope it goes really well for you. I think a lot of people feel a bit tired when they get back to work so make sure you put your feet up when you get home. Wishing you all the best for Monday. Take care. Deanne xxxx
