My special friend was an RSPCA reject, and the best dog I have ever owned. I have loved all my dogs, but this boy is really special. After my old Golden Retriever died about 5 ago from old age, my grown kids really wanted another dog. I wasn't so sure, but was talked into it. I thought a nice old female would be good, but this dog was a 9 month old kelpie / german shepherd and a male. I thought I was crazy, but there was something about him, and he was a quiet well behaved house trained pup. He is smart, playful and very good, and has never chewed up anything he shouldn't have. I can't imagine my life without him, and he has been my constant companion throughout this whole cancer journey. I'm sure he knows.
Your kidney condition is very interesting. If it isn't working you may as well be without it, as one will work very well.
I posted a blog about my thinning hair only about a week ago. Have a read, as there might be some helpful hints for you there.
