Nearing the end
Hi to all, it has been awhile since i last was here and i expect there are lots of new ladies who have joined our journey since last time i posted hello and my best wishes to you all.
I am now half...
Bc came back in the same side - wasn't actually in the breast but right up behind my arm in a lymph node. My suegeon says that it is a secondary in my lymph nodes but I think that I was just unlucky and this node wasn't detected and treated at the first diagnosis. Maybe if I had had chemo back in 2006/2007 this node may have been "zapped". Nothing pointed to me needing chemo at that time though so why fix something that isn't broken (even if we couldn't see that maybe something was "broken"). "It is how it is so get on with it" is the only way to go. At the time of my first diagnosis my then surgeon stated that I was at high risk of getting a recurrance in the other breast. I have recently questioned this with my Medical Oncologist who said that this is not necessarily the case. I AM FREE OF CANCER AND I DON'T HAVE A RECURRENCE!!!!!!!!! (My affirmation and I'm sticking with it)XLeonie
