My update

Hi all - its been a while since I read any of the posts and even longer since I post -

Diagnosed 27th August 2013 - DCIS

Partial Mastectomy - upgraded to Invasive ductal carcinoma grade 3 with one margin very close to my chest wall - oestrogen and progesterone receptive, no lymph involvement.

Chemotherapy - 4 cycles over 12 weeks finished end of Jan

Radiotherapy - 30 shots - completed last Friday 11th April.

Tomorrow review with radiooncologist and medical oncologist and then I am allowed to go home!!!

I'm from Broken Hill - I had my surgery at Flinders in Adelaide, my chemo at Broken Hill and my radio has been at Peter MacCallum in Melbourne ( due to having to be away from home for 6+wks - it was easier to be near family for help with my three kids 12,10 and 7.

So I am very excited to be heading home in two days time. Although reluctant to get excited about phase 4 - tamoxifen!

I have had good times and bad times but overall I have made this journey positively.
