Pam, thank you for your comment. Being alive for my family is what has pushed me to follow through with recommended actions. I wish you all the best with your implants. It is certainly much more comfortable than the expander. I still get pains on my reconstructed breast from time to time and find that massaging it from my arm pit into the breast implant helps a lot. The itchiness drives me mad though, not bring able to scratch the itch away. :-)
As a quick follow up, my surgery yesterday went very well and quick, and there were no arguments with the nursing staff wheeling me into my room this time. I am surprised that I am no where near as emotional as I thought I might be. It is as tho I have simply accepted it as it should be. I have been feeling great physically this morning, with a bit of pain kicking in now as the Theatre drugs are slowly wearing off. I have good support around me again.
