I got good at managing the pain I kept nurofen in my handbag and popped two straight after a fill. The first few days were the worst after that they seemed to settle and be ok - the last fill was probably the worst but it was all manageable with panadol or similar. My biggest struggle was managing a frozen shoulder...
My PS has done two fat grafts to give me a bit of meat between the skin and muscle - my only issue now is that one of my expanders has sprung a leak ( probably as a result of the first fat graft ) so now I have to go through expansion again before exchange... We are aiming for early March- weekly expansions over 4 weeks starting on 28th of this month - fingers crossed...
I don't know if fat grafts are standard - just an option...
Mind you the bumps are soft and squishy now rather than being like concrete tennis balls which is a relief and my shoulder is much better - ( they took 120mils out each side for the first graft)
The big break after the last fill relieves some of the soreness and tight feeling and I am told it is like heaven post exchange - here's hoping
Hugs
