The waiting is so hard - we understand because we have been through it. Keep as busy as you can, and read the My Journey booklets from BCNA - they have all the information you will want to know about treatments. I am so sorry that you have to join us here, but everyone is so supportive and helpful you will always have back-up. Once you get your pathology, you will find the time really goes quickly and the treatment roller coaster will start. You don't say what kind of surgery you had, so do hope you are comfortable at home. Your Oncologist will quickly get things rolling once you know where you are.I am sorry about your mother. You are right that treatments have changed from 20 years ago, and the outcomes are so much better. Last year I had bilateral mastectomies, chemo, radiation, and hysterectomy, and it was all do-able, just taking it one day at a time, and one step at a time. Keeping a notebook diary really helps with appointments, questions to ask, symptoms, etc.Let us know how you go next week. Sending you a big hug. Michelle x
