My Chemo (Roundup) Plan

I was right. The chemo that I'm having is a mop up job only hence my nickname "Roundup".  It's just getting any weeds out of my garden of pretty cells.

I will be having FEC 3 rounds at 3 weekly intervals followed by Docataxol 3 rounds at 3 weekly intervals.  1 injection of Nulastin 2 days after each round.  Then that's it!  No drugs, no radiation.  yay!

I'm having a port put in either tomorrow or Friday and my first round is next Wednesday.  Done blood this morning, doing heart this afternoon.

    Hi Cas, your treatment sounds almost identical to mine. I am having a picc put in next time, made a mess of my arm with the first treatment. Side effects have been managable so far. Good luck Wednesday, stay positive.

    That is great news.  You sound excited and happy, which I would be too.  I can't wait to see my surgeon on Tuesday now instead of this Thursday to find out what is in store for me.

    I surely can, I just wish they would get on with it.  I would be in there tomorrow morning if they asked me to.

    Hey Cas. Glad you finally have an idea of whats going on. I know the idea of a port may sound scary but as I told you I have done both ways and the port way was much better. Sending a big hug your way. You can do this. Paula xxxxxxxx
