You are all so lovely, thank you. I'm battling the port today. As long as I lie at 45 degrees and don't move or flinch a muscle it doesn't hurt. The mastectomy was easier than this little number. My son is learning to cook and we had oven cooked fish with wedges and vegies last night and roast chicken and vegies tonight. He's been cooking omelettes for brekkie for us since my mastectomy. I make lunch only.
Is it normal for the port to take a while to settle in? I've taken my antibiotics faithfully all day yesterday and today. Plus I have spent most of today laying on the lounge either watching tv or sleeping. My left arm aches (port is on left hand chest just under collar bone).
