My Boob Rotated!!

I woke up about a week ago to find that my new boob (the one with the implant) looked really weird!  It was flat at the bottom and a big lump at the top!!  Luckily I gave it a bit of a massage and pushed and prodded it until it looked normal again and didn't feel any pain or discomfort.  I went to see my surgeon yesterday and he said that the implant had rotated!  Apparently it only happens in about 1% of cases (and it just had to be me, didn't it?!).  It is caused when you get fluid building up in the pocket that they make to put the implant in.  When you lie on your back, the fluid can cause the implant to be pushed out of the pocket and it rotates.

I don't have to have any more surgery at the moment but if it happens again then I will be back under the knife......hopefully it won't happen again :)

Take care ladies and keep those smiles on your faces.....it makes everyone wonder what you've been up to!!

  • Hi Louise,

I agree with everyone your hair looks amazing, its beautiful.  Sorry about the boob.  Great to hear no more surgery as long as it all goes well and that boobs stays in place.

  • Thanks Leonie & Tonya. Hope all is well with you both? I'm loving having hair again but the wandering boob is a bit of a worry... Hopefully it will stay where it's supposed to from now on!!
